Industrial development is the driving force for the overall development of the economy. The region in general and the zone in particular is rich in natural resources.  Within the zone investment activities are expanding and an encouraging progress has been shown as a result of the investment policy and strategy designed by the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the regional government.

We warmly welcome investors to the zone whose focus is on development and who can create new jobs for the urban and rural poor, as well as generating new export earnings for the region. We have created a favorable environment not only for private investors only but also we have plenty of rooms for foreign and domestic tourist; those who are in need of participating in self job creation and etc, we have equipped ourselves with streamlining bureaucratic procedure and provision of quality service provision management.
